Getting Started: Adding Collections & Galleries
In Lumen, you can add a new collection or gallery using the Add button at the top of the right pane:
You can also add a new container (collection or gallery) using the + button at the top of the left pane.
Adding a New Collection or Gallery
- At the top of the right pane, click Add and select New collection or New gallery
- Name the collection and select the Location i.e. Library root or an existing collection
- Click Create
Upload to a New Gallery
- In the left pane, click the + icon and select Upload files
- Click Create new Gallery
- Add a Name for the gallery and select its location (leave blank for Library root)
- Choose your preference for handling duplicate files, i.e. skip, replace or upload anyway
- Click Select files and choose the files for upload
Upload to an Existing Gallery
There are several ways to upload files to an existing gallery in Lumen. The flow below walks you through using the +Add button in the right pane, but you can also follow the flow above and select an existing gallery when prompted, then select the files for upload.
- Select an existing gallery in the Library and click +Add in the right pane
- Confirm your upload location and choose your preference for handling duplicate files, i.e. skip, replace or upload anyway
- Click Select Files and choose the files for upload
Drag-and-Drop Uploads
Rather than selecting files through your computer's file explorer, use drag-and-drop! Navigate to an existing gallery in the left pane, then drag files from your computer to the center pane. Your upload will begin automatically.
Managing Uploads in the Upload Queue
While uploading to the Library, you'll notice an upload queue at the bottom of the center pane. You can expand and collapse this queue to pause, resume or scan the upload queue as needed.
To pause and resume the entire upload queue, click Pause.
When the queue is expanded, you'll see options to pause and resume uploads on individual files:
