To provide a streamlined visual experience for Invited Users on the Portal, Library Staff can customize the cover image for the Invited User Galleries Collection on the Branding page in the Portal Settings.
Suggested workflow: have your Portal open in a separate web browser window while working on settings. Click to refresh the webpage in that separate browser to see the changes update live on your Portal.
Add a custom image
Images may be a JPEG, GIF, or PNG. A 2:3 aspect ratio and minimum width of 2040px are recommended. Maximum file size is 10 MB.
- As Library Staff, visit the Portal Settings > Branding page and scroll down to the “Invited Galleries image” area
- Click the upload target or drag a file to the upload target
- All changes on the Branding page will be saved automatically
To see how your site looks, click View Portal in the top navigation bar.
Why don’t I see my changes reflected on the Portal?
The Invited Galleries image will only display for users who are Invited to content. If you are not Invited to content (even if you are Library Staff), you will not see the Collection. Try inviting yourself to a gallery or collection to see the changes on the Portal.
How do I upload a new image?
At any point, Library Staff may upload a new Invited Galleries image. Only the most recently uploaded image will be retained for use.
How can I use the Default icon?
At any point, Library Staff may use the Default icon by toggling the Invited Galleries image option to “Default icon”. If an image was uploaded previously, it will be retained for future use (unless a new file is uploaded).
How can I control the crop of the image?
The crop of the image is determined by the Collection thumbnail settings on the Portal Settings > Page settings page.
