PhotoShelter for Brands offers a host of enhanced features that are not available within Third Light, and which will help you build a stronger DAM workflow. With PhotoShelter, you’ll be able to improve efficiencies, drive brand growth, and protect your brand. Within this article, we will cover the key benefits of upgrading from Third Light to PhotoShelter for Brands.
Artificial Intelligence
PhotoShelter for Brands offers an array of artificial intelligence features that will help make managing your DAM easier.
-
AI Visual Search - The biggest game-changing feature available in PhotoShelter for Brands is AI Visual Search - a new type of search that recognizes language and returns search results for assets that are visually similar to the search terms - without needing metadata tags. This feature works for any search term, and is especially useful for longer, more specific searches, like “two women eating at a table with red plates.” Because it doesn’t require metadata tags, your entire library is instantly searchable, and your team can spend less time adding tags for the visual content of an image.
AI Visual Search is an add-on feature. Please reach out to your CSM at brandsssupport@photoshelter.com if you would like to add it to your account.
-
AI Tagging - with PhotoShelter’s AI Tagging features, metadata is automatically added to your photography assets based on what is in the image. This means that your team needs to spend less time adding metadata, and your assets will still be easily searchable.
- ObjectID: adds metadata tags for generic objects in your photos, like “boats”, “mountains”, “sky”, or “beach”
- PeopleID: adds metadata tags for individual people using facial recognition. This means you can easily search for assets with a specific person in them, without having to remember what everyone looks like.
- BrandID: is available as an add-on, and recognizes brand logos in an image to apply metadata tags.
- RosterID is available as an add-on and tags athletes based on their face, jersey and/or number.
AI Tagging is an add-on feature. Please reach out to your CSM at brandsssupport@photoshelter.com if you would like to add it to your account.
- AI Video Transcription automatically generates a subtitle file in English with 95-98% accuracy when a video is uploaded to PhotoShelter. This makes it easy for you to ensure that your videos are accessible and able to be viewed without sound.
FileFlow Mobile App
The FileFlow Mobile app, available on Apple or Android, makes it easy to access PhotoShelter from anywhere. With FileFlow, you can
- Upload assets on the go
- Access content on the fly
- Browse & search assets
- Share instantly
- Download with size selection
- Check download queue
- View metadata
FileFlow has features for your library staff to work with assets, as well as for your contributors and invited users to be able to access your content from their phones.
Simple, Intuitive Interface
PhotoShelter for Brands is built to make it easy for library staff and invited users to be able to find exactly what they need. It has two separate working areas depending on the user type so both invited and more casual users alike are able to easily find what they need.
-
The Library is your system back-end, where all of the management of your assets happens. Within the Library, your users can create galleries, move assets, add metadata, set sharing permissions, and more.
-
The portal is an easy-to-use place for others to access your assets. Visitors to your portal can either be public or logged in, and can only see or download the specific assets for which they have permissions. This makes it extremely easy for others in your organization or for partners to be able to self-service the content they need whenever they need it, freeing your team up from needing to find assets or help others use the platform.
Real-Time Workflow
PhotoShelter for Brands offers a real-time workflow, which makes it easy to get images from the camera out to those who need it in under a minute. This game-changing feature allows you to share professional imagery and capture the engagement power of being in the moment. One of our PhotoShelter customers, Sydnye White, VP of Content and Storytelling at Special Olympics, says, “News is now…it certainly is not news 24 hours later.”
