How It Works

Live Galleries is built right into the Library you already use. There are no new workflows to learn or toggles to switch on.

As your photographers in the field upload files via FTP or our mobile/desktop tools, anyone viewing the corresponding gallery will see those new assets instantly appear on their screen.

 

Things to Keep in Mind

To help you get the most out of Live Galleries, here are a few important details about how the system operates:

  • Upload speeds remain the same: Live Galleries makes the arrival of your content instantly visible, but it does not accelerate the actual upload process. How fast content reaches your PhotoShelter library is still determined by your photographer's upload method, network connection, and file sizes.

  • There is no "holding" area: Live Galleries is not a separate workspace. Your incoming content does not land in a temporary "live" section before being promoted; it lands directly in the main gallery you already have open, ready to use.
