Manually Create Suggestions
In the Media tab, either click on a single asset to Suggest it alone, or select multiple pieces of media (via the checkbox in the corner of each asset) and click the button at the top to create a Suggestion for the selected media.
On the Suggestion Draft screen, you can add Publishers individually or by group, and add a message to them. You can select the social networks you are Suggesting your publishers post to, and you may add captions and photo credits. Additionally on this page you may add these pieces of media to a Suggestion album, add them to a Suggestion campaign, and add or replace tags on these Suggestions.
Also on the Suggestion Draft screen you can schedule the Suggestion to go out at a later date, set an Expiration for the Suggestion, and click a checkmark to allow for Commercial use.
Suggestion drafts will auto-save upon creation, but you may “Save & Close” to return to work on a Suggestion later. Additionally you can provide a custom name for your draft, or delete your draft entirely.
Once complete, you can choose to “Send Now,” “Send now without notifications” or “Send later” (and set a scheduled date).
Automatically Create Suggestions
You can automatically create suggestions by creating Rules in Settings. In the lefthand navigation bar, select “Settings” and navigate to Integrations. From there you may select your supported integration and create various rules for content ingestion. As part of the rules, you can create a process which sends a “Smart Suggestion” upon ingestion, which allows you to select which Publishers will automatically be sent a suggestion and allow you to specify the notification cadence. You may also configure smart suggestions to only suggest photos when a publisher’s face is found (in this setting, videos will not be suggested).
From there, you may also select “Smart Actions” to apply to this rule. You can send messages to publishers, add to albums and campaigns, add tags, schedule delivery dates, pull suggestion tags from metadata and tag specific publishers. You also have the option to add captions with text, from metadata fields, from your photographers map or your brand credits.
Tracking Suggestions
To track your suggestions, click “Tracking” in the lefthand navigation bar. This will take you to a page which will show all of your sent suggestions, and you can filter at the top by “Sent To” and “Published By” in addition to a number of other filters to allow you to easily find the suggestion you want to track. You may also sort this page by Recently Created, Sent, Published, Updated or has Publisher Activity, in addition to # of Publishers, # of Posts and Total Engagement.
You may also select a number of Suggestions to export for offline review.
Once you have found the Suggestion you’d like to track in more detail, you’ll notice that each suggestion is marked Unopened or Opened (with an associated date and time) in addition to information about how much of each Suggestion was Published, the total Engagement and Reach.
You can then click on each suggestion to drill down further and find Publish Rate, Potential Reach and Engagement, in addition to specific details about which social media platforms the Suggestion was published to and associated data from there (such as comments and likes).
Once drilled down into a specific Suggestion, you can also see when the Magic Tracking Window is set to expire, you can see any Suggestion Expiration Date set or choose to Expire the Suggestion now, and you can add to a Suggestion album or add additional tags.
A note on Magic Tracking: this feature may take up to a week to assimilate and push the data to Socialie.
