PhotoShelter for Brands supports several custom metadata fields used by Getty Images. These optional metadata fields help content submitted to Getty Images flow efficiently through their system.
Note: Entering and editing metadata requires Library Admin, Editor, or Tagger permissions. All users can view metadata fields in read-only mode.
Getty Images Custom Fields
The following Getty Images custom fields are available in the metadata editor and read-only file detail views:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Composition | Describe the composition of an image showing people (e.g. Posed, Headshot, Full Length, Eye Contact) |
| Image Rank | Indicates the relative priority or quality ranking of the image |
| Personality | Semi-colon delimited list of the names of individuals seen in the image; no titles, ranks or job descriptions |
| Routing Destinations | Specifies the geographic areas where the image should be routed |
Entering metadata
- Select one or more files in the library
- In the actions menu, click Edit Metadata
- Enter values for the desired fields
- Click Save
Note: Empty fields are hidden in read-only metadata views. A field only appears if it contains a saved value.
Metadata on download and FTP export
By default, all Getty Images custom field values are automatically embedded in files when they are downloaded or exported via FTP.
