Overview
LogoID is PhotoShelter’s AI-driven solution for tagging brands, logos and icons across your content. Your Customer Success Manager will be your point of contact for all things LogoID. After purchase, your CSM will guide you through the LogoID setup process. You'll need to provide
Once your logo files have been imported, LogoID can be enabled globally at the account level or applied to specific galleries depending on your team’s needs.
Logo Requirements
For each logo/icon you want enabled through LogoID, we require the following:
- Brand Name
- At least one example of the logo file
Quality Matters
Using good quality logo files for the brands and icons you want to identify is extremely important. Good quality images produce the most accurate results whereas poor quality images may result in inaccurate tags or no tags at all.
For best results, ensure your logo files meet the following criteria:
- Must be JPG
- Should be cropped as closely to the content as possible
- Should be representative of how you expect the brand's icon(s) to appear in the wild; matching in color, size, angle, shape and detail
- If an icon includes text in a "typical" font, the text should be excluded from the cropped image so only the icon is present in the image
- If a brand does not have an icon and only represents itself using text in a "typical" font, then no example images are necessary
- The "Brand Name" should match exactly how the brand's name might appear in images
You can provide as many different examples of a brand's logo as desired, but you must provide at least one example that reflects how you would expect to see the icon depicted in your images. If you anticipate several variations of a logo (vertical/horizontal, or full color, dark on light and light on dark variations) send us an example of each variation.
FAQ
Which logos does LogoID currently support?
Reach out to your CSM for a list of our supported logos.
How many logos can I enable in my account?
As many as you need. We recommend that you consider the most prominent logos in your content, i.e. logos that appear on uniforms, stadium banners and ads, or elsewhere in the environments where your brand partners would expect a tag to be present.
My logo file is in greyscale, but I expect some of the logos to appear in color. What should I do?
We recommend sending us as many different examples of a brand’s logo as possible. If you expect a logo to appear in color in your images, send us at least one logo file in color.
I’m not seeing the LogoID results I expect. Why?
There are several reasons why LogoID may miss a logo or apply an inaccurate logo tag. In most cases, these issues are related to data quality or visual conditions in the image rather than an issue with LogoID.
Common causes include:
- Low-resolution or small logos: If a logo appears too small or blurry in the image, LogoID may not have enough visual detail to identify it accurately.
- Obstructed or partially visible logos: Logos that are cropped, folded or covered by objects, hands or uniforms can be harder to detect.
- New or alternate branding: If your organization has introduced new uniforms, colors or logo variations, these updates may not yet be reflected in our training data.
- Complex backgrounds or busy scenes: Cluttered backgrounds (such as signage walls, crowds or overlapping graphics) can create false positives or make it difficult for the system to isolate the correct logo.
- Busy processing queue: If LogoID tags aren’t appearing immediately on newly uploaded images, it may be due to a busy queue. Wait a few minutes, then refresh the gallery. If you’re still not seeing results after a few minutes, reach out to your CSM.
